I’m a believer in emergence. That something has fundamentally shifted our approach to business and therefore, our cultural realities as well. To think a command system could thrive is simply not supported today by evidence, and only persists at the hand of bad policy.
Still, I’m not satisfied that an emergent economy has the community in place to resist unknown influence. If everyone is everyone’s resource, do you take any more comfort in “common knowledge” than you do today?
